1 of 2 shows in rep for the 2021 Essential Theatre Play Festival.  

Calming the Man takes place on the back (or front) porch and yard of Daddio's place, a home stuck in rural Florida during the 70's.  The mother has passed away and we find Daddio taking care of 2 close-to-adulthood sons alone, trying to make ends meet and struggling with his temper.  See "Raising the Dead" to view how the set was transformed.
